I LOVE what you said about how 'Sharing does not equal Community' as COMMUNITY is what I've been craving, but unable to find in social media. Thank you for putting all I want so brilliantly in your thread, and excited to follow you.

Hi Astrid! I've been writing a newsletter for a couple years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I heard your discussion with Alice Sheridan on Art Juice which resonated with me as I'm not interested in spending a bunch of time or energy on social media. I was also inspired to join Substack as a result. Just wanted to say hi and thank you for the insight. Be well!

Thank you for your kind words Sadie! I just took a look at your Substack, and really love how you're showcasing images, video and words in your notes. I'll subscribe for more inspiration :) Have a lovely rest of your week!

I loved reading this Astrid, I've never felt comfortable with the 'audience' concept, but love to build networks and connections. You say it all so brilliantly here.

So refreshing. I’ve built a reasonable insta following and have met some fab people through it - in person and virtually. But as you say community is something very different and your slow approach is lovely.

Really love your ideas and insights Astrid. Although I still feel LinkedIn is a key aspect of my business (mostly because I work for other businesses not people) I’ve enjoyed experimenting with different methods you’ve mentioned before and have even had new ideas to try in different business ventures. 🤍❤️🤍❤️

Substack gives you a feature to “cross post” but I’m too scared to press it! Haha
