Such a thought provoking read Astrid. I have so many confused and conflicting thoughts around money, many of them very shame inducing. It’s a problem that has tripped me up for many years and I’ve yet to solve, but I’m much more aware of it than ever before and found this article really useful. x

An honest and engaging read, thank you Astrid. When you wrote of feeling empowered from earning money from your business, this is exactly how I want to feel as I venture down the road of running my own business and charging for services. I need to do some work on my money mindset I think... 🤔

Thank you for this Debs! I'm pleased that the idea of feeling empowered is inspiring to you. It might help to sit with that idea a bit more and explore what you need in order to feel empowered, maybe through journaling or talking to someone. Beginning to charge for our services is uncomfortable for many of us, and it's certainly a journey, so you're not alone! I'll be cheering you on ✨

I agree with you, Astrid. Wanting to be a six figures one day in the future isn't a great motivator. You require a more compelling purpose to work on (and in) your business every day. It's merely a milestone that appears to excite people, but they don't pause to consider if they truly desire it for themselves.

I'm curious, what happens once you achieve six figures? How far will it go?

I've realised that many people can be lucrative and generate enough money each month to support themselves. But it takes some honest work and money mindset shifts.

Thank you for this Upasana! Wondering what happens once you reach six figures is a good question--I always imagine that the only thing left to do then is go for seven, eight, etc. and that this kind of goal can so easily slip into a mindset of scarcity and never enoughness. What motivates you in your business instead?
