I'm so glad I've found your newsletter. Thanks for the reminder to keep connecting to my people, the ones who have invited me to share and want me to share.
This is so great and encouraging, thank for sharing! π
I'm curious about your thoughts on drip email campaigns for keeping in touch with new faces/warm leads with specific messaging. I think that's a valuable approach but I feel like it could be clunky to do alongside a more broad newsletter format... What do you recommend?
Thank you for your comment Jess! A drip email campaign like that can indeed be useful, but youβd need to be very specific about what youβd want to use it for, so you can segment your audience specifically. And the question is what youβd gain from this specifically, unless you filter/segment for people who have bought a certain product/service and you want to give them a discount on a related product/service.
Iβd recommend a welcome sequence for all new subscribers if your provider allows for thatβitβs a great way to welcome people into your world and share resources.
Does this help? Do let me know if you have any other questions, and have a great rest of your week!
Ah yes a welcome sequence is what I had in mind - I knew there was a term for it haha! I like the idea of doing this but the thought of trying to simultaneously work from another email tool seems tough... like, do you have to manually update your Substack subscriber list and the other email list in Mailchimp/Constant Contact/etc. so they match?
I realize the other option is to do a manual welcome sequence - literally sending individual emails rather than having the sequence automated. I can see a potential inefficiency there. But maybe not as bad as it sounds? Idk!
Doing both--a welcome sequence through Mailchimp etc.--and sending out regular emails through Substack would break my brain π So I just send out the one welcome email through Substack. You can also send manual emails, indeed, perhaps for everyone who joined since a certain date. Good luck figuring this out, and remember: you get to set the rules here πͺπ»
Seems I've figured some of this out for myself but it would have been less anxious to learn it in a course! Thanks for sharing!
Youβre very welcome Lora, have a lovely rest of your week!
Incredibly generous of you to share this, Astrid!
How generous of you to include the training video and workbook pages!
You are very welcome Cheniece, I hope you enjoyed them!
