On creating your own business blueprint
A free guide helping you to trust yourself as a business owner
When I started my business, I inhaled any business advice I could find. I listened to hours of podcasts, signed up for courses, read blogposts and books. But a lot of it didn’t really fit. The ‘shoulds’ that I had collected required me to run my business in a way that didn’t fit with me, with my life, my needs and desires.
Since then, I’ve realised that I can build and run my business in a way that serves me. That I don’t need anyone else’s blueprint or manual. I might be inspired by how other people run their business, but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to be creating my business in exactly the same way.

I’ve learned that the most powerful thing I can do for my business is create my own blueprint.
Going forward, I’ll be sharing a quarterly guide with you—my subscribers—four times a year on a theme related to business. This first guide is all about trusting yourself as a business owner.
Trusting yourself as a business owner
This first guide will help you hear that inner voice and feel your inner confidence again—your own inner business guru as it were. It’ll support you to tap into that inner trust so that you make business choices that are perfectly aligned with how you want your life to be.
I won’t be telling you what to do. Instead, I’ll help you discover and listen to your own voice and confidence, and write your own rules.
The guide focuses on three areas in which to develop and practice inner trust:
business vision and general ideas about how you work in your business;
For each of these areas, I’ve included questions and strategies to help you discover the ideas and stories that you carry, and develop more useful stories and blueprints instead.
You can work through the guide from beginning or end, or dip into sections and questions in whatever way fits for you.
Learning to tap into my own inner confidence and following it in my business has been one of the biggest changes for me in 2022. I feel a lot calmer about my business and the choices I make. I no longer feel like I’m floundering, or like everyone else knows what they’re doing but I don’t. I’m able to evaluate other people’s advice and suggestions without questioning my own path and values. And I wish the same for you.
Future guides are one of the powerful bonuses that paid subscribers to this newsletter get. In addition to the free newsletters, they receive monthly threads to connect with other small business owners and behind-the-scenes posts. As a paid subscriber you are part of my virtual cheerleading squad and support the work that I do.
If this guide and the work that I do resonates with you, I’d love to invite you to become a paid subscriber for €5 a month / €50 a year (similar prices for £ and $). You can become a paid subscriber by clicking the button below, which will prompt you to enter your email address, after which you select a subscription and enter your payment details (more info on the process here).
I’d love it if you’d let me know what you think of this guide. In which areas do you feel like you need to develop more inner trust? Have you already worked on this before, and what has helped? And which areas do you struggle with the most? I’d love to cheer you on in the comments.
For now, have a calm and restful end to the year, and an equally nourishing start to 2023. I’ll be back in your inbox soon with another newsletter. Thank you for being here!
P.S. Want to support me but not yet ready to work together? A ko-fi always lights up my day (and helps keep my tea supplies topped up). ❤️
