I personally can't stand to do list😅What helped me the most is to call them:

Creator list🦋That feels more expansive and more loose, like;

what do I want to create this year?🎉

How do I want to feel?✨️

What also helped me a lot is to focus on my mission and impact, not money 🦋Then the process becomes more joyfull and less pressured💕💃

Thank you for commenting Monica! I love you take on to-do lists, you’re certainly not the only one who doesn’t love them. And ‘creator list’ indeed sounds much more freeing than ‘to do’ does :)

Thanks to your practical advise, I drew up a plan and strategy for 2025. Unlike 2024, where I became overwhelmed by reading and researching everything I could lay my hands on about marketing, I've focused on three main areas.

I recently joined Substack as a result and hope to contribute to the platform and connect with readers and other authors.

Thank you Astrid, for helping me slow down, to focus on what matters, and to avoid overwhelm this year.

The way I manage to do list overload is to use the David Allen "Getting Things Done" book suggestion to have a "vomit" list that you can put anything and everything on. That way I don't mind having a short daily list because I know the the other items won't be forgotten. For the vomit list I use the free version of "Monday.com" because I like how it prioritizes all the items in categories plus it has a good slider to slide things up and down. Then I subscribe to the "The One Thing" book that has one laser-focused on what is the top priority. Currently reading "Deep Work" which I find very helpful for productivity ideas. Thanks Astrid, as always for reminding me that being frenetic is not a strategy!

Yeah I have hundred of items on my vomit lists, yes I have 3: one for my book, one for my personal life and one for my day job. My actual to do list is on one sticky note. If it needs to be bigger than that something has to go on "vomit!"
