I retired from the health industry 3yrs ago working in the Emergency room, rest was alien to me, it still is. So I still feel uncomfortable resting,it's a habit I'm learning to break. I've learnt that total rest is a sense of nothingness. That I still need to do something, I'm not a business woman & I relate entirely to what you say about money. I now know what I'm doing, money has been seen by me as obscene due to the Broligarchy, that's a force we're all reckoning with. I loved your article, you're speaking to women like me, there must be more of us out there. Hope I haven't gone on too long😊

Thank you so much for your comment Linda! I recognise getting used to rest so much--it took me years to become more comfortable with it, and I still struggle at times. The world doesn't make it easy on us to take care of ourselves and rest. Have a lovely rest of your day!

Astrid’s workshop sounds great. The stories we tell ourselves can be a barrier or a gateway so I agree it’s good to get into the habit of reframing!

Great post Astrid! I’m expecting to be a full-time solopreneur from November and one of the most exciting bits of prep is working through how I design my business to fit my lifestyle. I’m being quite intentional on things like Monday morning yoga class. Things will evolve over time but I want to keep remembering WHY I chose this path!
