5 things I'll do differently during my next launch
Balancing launch periods, considering bonuses and more
Once the launch of Marketing without social media had passed, I was able to take some distance from it and see the things I wanted to do differently.
In this post, I’ll share the five things I’ll do differently during my next launch (in part 1 of this post I shared the ins and outs of the launch). I’ll share what I’d do more of, what I’d do less off and will hopefully inspire you for your own launches too.
A (much) shorter launch window
Somehow I ended up with a five-week launch window.
In hindsight, that made me smile. I made such a thorough plan, but I didn’t realise until the actual launch that I’d planned a five-week launch window.
I can’t recall making this decision, but in all honesty, I think I landed on this length from insecurity and scarcity. I love the idea of a shorter launch window, but I also find it terrifying. What if a shorter launch did’t give people enough time to make up their mind?
But launching for five weeks felt LONG. It felt intense. It felt awkwardly visible and vulnerable, at least until about two thirds of the way through. And while I’m pleased with the emails and other content that I shared, I also wonder whether the full five weeks were really needed.
The pre-launch
